The "Podere Chiusa Grande" is an ancient building of the XIX century, which was ordered by the Earls of Alliata. It is 4 km from the sea, on the marvellous Etruscan Coast, which gives on to the Tuscan Isles. Among the nature of the Maremma country side, it is surrounded by the natural Park of Rimigliano.
The Residence offers 3 different kinds of apartments (Two-roomed, Three-roomed and Villa) furnished in typical style and equipped with heating, satellite TV with DVD, barbecue, swimming-pool, small gymnasium, ping-pong, private parking, and with a wide fencend park shaded by pine-trees and cypresses.
The farm is situated in an area of great naturalistic and historical-archaeological interest.
The suggestive landscapes invite the visitor to go for a walk, or for a ride on a bicycle, which can be hired here, while horses are available in the nearby riding-pounds. The visitor is invited to discover the smell of the wines and the taste of the oils and of the local cooking, or he can plunge into the hot thermal waters of the nearby natural lake, which offers therapeutic treatments too.
It is possible to go on a trip to the nearby medieval villages of Campiglia M.ma, Suvereto, Castagneto Carducci, Bolgheri, Massa M.ma, Populonia and Baratti, a natural port famous for its Etruscan necropolis.
The archeo-mineral Park of San Silvestro is of remarkable interest too.
LOCATION
Firenze, Siena, Pisa, Lucca, Volterra and San Gimignano, the most important Tuscan towns of art are not far and easily reachable. The point of embarkation to the Isola d’Elba is only 15 lan away. Three springs of mineral water rise at VENTURINA, providing water rich in sulphates, magnesium and bicarbonate, at a natural tem-perature of between 36º and 45º. The baths are particularly good for illnesses of the digestive tract, the liver and biliary tract, for respiratory disorders, bone and joint disorders, rheumatic ailments and ear, nose and throat disorders. The spa, thermal bath and pool are founded on the natural resources of the water.
