This beautiful farmhouse is set in "crete senesi" area, inside the Artistic, cultural and natural Park of the Val d'Orcia; it is set on a hill surrounded by century old cypresses. The house was already standing in the 1700's and it has the characteristic U shape, and the typical features of resedences that werw both farms and monasteries at once. The house maintains the original vaulted ceilings (circular vaults), renovated findings (vases, fireplace, oak door and front door), wide and compfortables rooms with beamed ceilings and cotto floors. Everything is furnished with refined taste in the typical Tuscan style. The house offers a scenic swimming pool, a courtyard with a well and ancient ovens in which guests can spend their time in conversation. The house is situated in a strategic position between Siena, Firenze, Arezzo and near Pienza, Montalcino, Montepulciano, and Thermal places (Bagno Vignoni, Bagni San Filippo, Rapolano Terme).

Podere Scannelli offers a scenic swimming pool where guests can enjoy a total relaxation and a courtyard, with a well and an ancient oven, where accordingly to this nice atmosphere of past days there are typical hand made "terracotta" pots from Pienza, garden tables and chairs, perfect to enjoy a nice glass of wine.

At the farmhouse it is possible to taste wine and a "light lunch" or typical Tuscan dinners, which are organized by the farmhouse. The position of "Podere Scannelli" is particularly interesting, because it is not far away from all the places of high cultural interest as well as in Tuscany as in Umbria.
LOCATION
From North Italy: motorway A1 exit "Firenze Certosa", then highway ("Superstrada") towards Siena. Then take the "Cassia Vecchia" (SS2) towards "BUONCONVENTO". At the crossing to Montalcino, take the direction towards "TORRENIERI". From there, continue on the "Cassia Vecchia" (SS2) until you arrive at the sign "Podere Scannelli", which is on the left hand side. Continue for about 2.4 km until you arrive at the residence.
From South Italy: motorway A1 exit "Chiusi-Chianciano Terme" until the crossing to "S. QUIRICO D'ORCIA" and follow the directions until you reach S. Quirico d'Orcia. From there follow the "Cassia Vecchia" (SS2) and after about 3 km, on the right hand side there is a sign with "Podere Scannelli". Follow the street for 2.4 km until you arrive at the residence.
